Food is the foundation of true happiness.

In 2016 four people will meet on the island of Santorini. All lovers of good food. Both addicted to it! The third owns an amazing space a canvas of 1848 and the fourth for 23 years “in the house with the Poplars” has turned the simple into art! The outcome of this meeting??

In 2017, the “Lefkes” travel to the “canvas of Tasos” in Finikia and this culinary journey of the tastes of chef Tasos Doumas, will continue its successful course in his new residence in Santorini.

Santorini Menu

The best of local produce, fish and seafood. Dishes that at first glance look classic, but at a second glance you realize that it is tradition dressed in the clothes of evolution.

STARTERS

  • Fava with mushrooms, parsley oil, paprika oil and  fresh oregano
  • Potato’s wedges with cream of Arseniko Naxos cheese, sausage mince and truffle oil
  • Kebabakia with pear chutney
  • Trahanokeftedes with tomato chutney, soutzouki and feta sauce
  • Fake Saganaki feta dipped in sesame seeds and fried, served with home-made marmalade
  • Spicy Chickpeas with plums
  • Spinach pies our way
  • Mushroom Fricase
  • Haloumi Cheese with Vine leaves and  lime foam
  • Mediterranean Risotto with Cuttlefish
  • Goat Meatballs in herb broth
  • Black swine steaks with organic BBQ
  • Liver on charcoal grill on parsnip purée with Pergamon-mustard sauce
  • Ravioli (aubergine, beef and pecorino foam)
  • Gnocchi with pumpkin and shrimps

 

FROM OUR WOOD FIRED OVEN

  • Pie of the Day (ask the waiters)
  • Mushrooms Portobello with kaseri Sohou, tartufo cream and valerian, on pesto rocket
  • Soufra tou Pasa (pork pieces marinated in a spicy sweet sauce cooked on the hot plate)

 

SALADS

  • Greek village Salad
  • Mixed Salad with Iceberg, endive, spring onion, marinated cucumber, cherry tomatoes, avocado, pine kernels with tequila dressing with homemade cracker
  • Salad with Black Belouga Lentils with cous cous Thessaloniki’s, feta in black sesame, finely cut vegetables and olive mayonnaise
  • Seasonal Greens with quinoa ,sardines and almond garlic dip
  • Quinoa Salad with quinoa ,sardines and almond garlic dip
  • Lefkes Salad Lettuce, tomato, grated cheese, corn, chicken, pistachio nuts and dressing

 

 

MAIN COURSE

  • Slow-cooked Pork with mashed corn and baby carrots
  • Chicken Burger served with baby potatoes and lemon sauce
  • Kritharoto risotto-like pasta with beef bits, meat broth
  • Tenderloin with pistachio nuts served on parmesan sauce and two types sweet potato
  • Chicken with filled Gnocchi prosciutto, and Parmesan sauce
  • Salmon with Savoy cabbage, quinoa and mashed celeriac
  • Papardelles Pasta with parmezan sauce, vegetables and slow cooked beef in waxed paper
  • Cod Fish Spetsiota
  • Lemon Lamb with seasonal vegetables
  • Beef Diaphragm Taliata with mashed smoked aubergine and fig sauce
  • Rib Eye and potato Dauphinois with noisette cream

 

FOR 2-4 PERSONS

  • Chicken Kontosouvli for 2 on its charcoal
  • Taliata from Australian Black Angus Scallop with baby potatoes


Our meat is cooked on the charcoal grill and beef is cooked medium.

Our potatoes (fries etc) are hand cut.
